Salus Technical sign up for Oil and Gas UK membership

Leading process safety consultancy firm, Salus Technical, are pleased to announce their membership of Oil & Gas UK (OGUK).

Westhill-based Salus Technical works with customers to help them understand and manage the risks of major accidents within their operations and continually improve the safety of the industry.

Salus Technical offers three complementary services: process safety engineering support, a range of tailored and on-demand training courses, and Bowtie Master – an exclusive online software package which allows customers to visualise their risks and communicate them with their team.

Following a successful career working in-house and on a consultancy basis for North Sea operators and service providers, David Jamieson launched Salus Technical full-time in November 2019. David is a well-known figure in the North-east energy industry thanks to his accessible and engaging process safety training programmes.

Since its launch Salus Technical has secured several new contracts. The firm is also in the process of developing new software, and recently moved into a new office suite in Westhill. During lockdown David delivered process safety training webinars to over 500 participants, completely free-of-charge.

David says: “Salus Technical has enjoyed a successful first year of trading. My frontline experience of working for operators has certainly contributed to this, having equipped me with an effective blend of the technical expertise and practical knowledge to help people understand and manage their risk. Another factor is how we like to work with our customers – we become embedded within their team and work alongside them. It’s the best way of engaging with the workforce, and helping them to derive the maximum benefit from our process safety service offerings.

“As our company continues to enjoy steady growth, we look forward to expanding our business network with our fellow OGUK members from across the UK energy industry.”
