What is your job title and responsibilities?

I am a Business Development Executive.

At Salus Technical, we sell safety software called Bowtie Master, Task Analysis and Hazop AI; we also offer a process safety awareness course. I cover the whole sales operation here, from bringing in new potential customers, assisting prospective customers in purchasing our products and facilitating product demonstrations.

What does a normal workday look like for you?

I start my day by checking my inbox to see if any prospective customers require assistance on the software. I then check our customer relationship management system for new and prospective customers, helping guide them to the correct product. I often catch up with the team and we prepare for any product demonstrations. Finally, I focus on our marketing campaigns either researching or reaching out to potential customers that I think would benefit from our product.

What talents or skills does someone in this job need to have?

It is important to be organised, a good listener and focused. I also think that every person involved in business-to-business selling needs some creativity to help deliver a bespoke experience to every customer.

What do you like most about your job?

The best part about the job is facilitating product demonstrations, it is great to showcase our product in front of customers from all over the globe.

What do you want to achieve by 2027?

I would like us to be the market leaders in process safety software.

What has been your favourite project to work on so far?

Bowtie Master has come on leaps and bounds since I first joined, it has been great to be a part of it.

If you had an unnecessary superpower, what would it be?

I would be able to teleport, imagine being able to go on holiday in a second.
