We set out to determine whether incorporating Artificial Intelligence in Process Safety is a recipe for disaster, or the pathway to a safer future. Spoiler alert! It’s a bit of both. We published a paper which we presented at Hazards 33 in Birmingham in 2023. The paper dives deep into how AI can help enhance process safety systems, and the potential for misuse. It highlights the benefits of AI and draws upon Salus’ own research and development in AI.
