AI Technology in safety
The world is changing one radical leap at a time. Adopting AI in process safety is the future, and when harnessed correctly it will be a powerful pathway to making hazardous industries safer.
Introducing Salus AI Copilot
We’ve built our very own AI safety tool to help make sure that with Salus the best engineer is always in the room. Not only does our Copilot feel like having a top-level engineer at your fingertips, but it significantly raises the bar of your entire organisation.
Engineers love it too. AI isn’t here to replace humans, it’s here to make them the very best they can be by prompting questions to come to their own conclusions, and highlighting potential blind spots.
Not only that but imagine being able to have a conversation with your safety case and ask it questions. Our Copilot comprehends the complexities of a safety case, so it provides you with accurate information and unique insights. Inspiring your team to have meaningful conversations, rather than skimming a pdf.
High Performance
Salus Copilots aren’t just a pilot. We’ve built a bespoke solution for a major North Sea operator. They’re currently using their bespoke copilot to perform higher quality and consistent risk assessments on impaired safety critical equipment. Allowing the team to really focus on the risks and solving the problems. Find out how we can help build a bespoke AI solution for you.
The hard numbers
The statistics speak for themselves; across industries, AI is improving productivity. For developers the use of copilots has shown to reduce the time it takes to complete a task by over 50%. With the current strain on resources in process safety, copilots could alleviate some of these resourcing issues."*" indicates required fields
Our publications
The Role of AI in Process Safety: Pathway to a Safer Future
We set out to determine whether incorporating Artificial Intelligence in Process Safety is a recipe for disaster, or the pathway to a safer future. Spoiler alert! It’s a bit of both. We published a paper which we presented at Hazards 33 in Birmingham in 2023. The paper dives deep into how AI can help enhance process safety systems, and the potential for misuse. It highlights the benefits of AI and draws upon Salus’ own research and development in AI.
